A Da Nang Plaza apartment rents for 11.1-12 million dong a month, about $420-460 with a median of $460, according to 4 prices from 4 pages. That is a small sample, so treat that as a reference point rather than a market. The tower stands in central Hai Chau, in the group of older, cheaper buildings alongside HAGL Lakeview and LaPaz. Our catalogue has nothing here right now; the agent we work with finds a unit on request.
What the building is
Da Nang Plaza stands on the corner of Nguyen Du and Tran Phu, about 200 m from the City Administrative Center; the address is usually given as 6 Nguyen Du, formerly Thach Thang ward, now Hai Chau. The developer, Danang Housing Investment Development (NDN), built it in 2005-2010: two towers of 18 floors, with 15 floors of apartments over a three-floor supermarket and retail podium and one basement. It has 166 homes: 158 apartments of 70-160 m² and 8 penthouses of 280-300 m². It is an older building in the centre, mostly Vietnamese residents, priced in the lowest group on the west bank.
In an older building the quality of an apartment depends on whether the owner has renovated more than on the building itself. The same $460 can be a freshly painted unit with new air conditioning or one untouched since handover. See it in person before comparing prices, with our viewing checklist.

Who it suits
People working in the centre on a budget under $460 who need a real apartment rather than a room, and who do not need a pool or the sea. Not foreigners who need an English lease and English-speaking management, and not anyone who wants a new building.
Lease terms
From the listings: one month's deposit, leases from six months, prices in dong, utilities by meter, management fee separate. Contracts are Vietnamese-only. When you rent through us, a foreign tenant gets a bilingual lease.
