BEFORE YOU MOVE
What to know
about Da Nang.
Have something else in mind?
Let’s start there.
Usually from six months, and some apartments rent from three. The term, deposit and payment schedule are on each apartment’s page.
All apartments come furnished. Electricity and water are paid separately at the state rate, and so are internet and cleaning. The deposit is usually one month, and rent is paid three months at a time.
Tell us about a typical day: whether you work from home, prefer quiet or want to walk to the beach. That helps us start with areas that suit you.
Citizens of 12 countries, including Russia, the UK, Germany, France, Japan and South Korea, enter without a visa for 45 days. Others need an e-visa from evisa.gov.vn: up to 90 days, 25 dollars for single entry and 50 for multiple entry. For six months or more one visa is not enough, so plan your entries ahead or apply for a different visa type.
Yes. It is called tạm trú, a foreigner’s registration with the local police. The host does it: online as soon as you move in, or on a paper form within 12 hours. For our apartments we file it instead of the owner; we only need your passport with the visa or entry stamp.
Yes. In the 2026 MICHELIN Guide Da Nang has one star: La Maison 1888, French cooking at the InterContinental on the Son Tra peninsula. Nén Danang in Ngu Hanh Son holds a Green Star for contemporary Vietnamese food. Another 23 places have a Bib Gourmand, good food at a fair price, for example Bún Chả Cá 109, Bà Vui and Bánh Xèo Tôm Nhảy Cô Ba.
