The Vu Mong Nguyen apartment building is social housing that the city of Da Nang built with budget money, and it is let only to families of people with meritorious service to the revolution. Its apartments are not on the market, are not let through agents and may not be sublet, so we do not look for apartments in this building. Below is what the city has published, and where to look if you simply need an apartment in this part of town.

What the building is

The building stands on Vu Mong Nguyen street, formerly Khue My ward of Ngu Hanh Son district, now Ngu Hanh Son ward, on a plot of 3,122 m². It is one block of 12 floors with a basement and an attic floor and 209 apartments of 65-77 m², with lifts, a kindergarten, a service area, a sports club and greenery. It is phase 1 of the city's social housing programme for 2021-2025, with a budget of nearly 224 billion dong. The building was officially opened on 24 March 2025; the first round of applications ran from 10 to 30 June 2025, and on 26 July 2025 the first 92 households received their rental decisions.

Who can rent and what it costs

The tenants are families of people with meritorious service to the revolution who have been permanently registered in Da Nang for at least 5 years, under Decision 47/2024/QĐ-UBND, and the lease runs for 5 years. The rent is 57,822 dong per m² a month before the floor coefficient, and the management fee is 5,169 dong per m². After the reductions under Decree 100/2024/NĐ-CP, rent plus fee comes to between 637,000 and about 2.27 million dong a month per apartment. Applications follow the notices of the Department of Construction and do not go through agents.

Listings for a "Vu Mong Nguyen apartment" at 4 to 5 million dong online are usually private mini-apartments on the same street, not this social housing building.
